StoryWalks
StoryWalks are fun, educational activities that place pages from children’s storybooks along local trails.
StoryWalk was created as a way for people of all ages to combine physical activity in a local, natural area with a story combining a love of two things: storytelling and walking.
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg Hubbard Library.
StoryWalk: Summer Song
Tuesday, August 22 for approximately 2 weeks (weather dependent)
Long Sault Conservation Area, Cottontail Rabbit Trail (9293 Woodley Road, Clarington)
Enjoy Summer Song, by Kevin Henkes and illustrated by Laura Dronzek while exploring the Cottontail Rabbit Trail at CLOCA's Long Sault Conservation Area!
This book about summer celebrates the sights, sounds, and smells of the season. Bees buzz, birds sing, and children roll in the grass and feel the heat of the summer sun. Enjoy the last of the season before we turn over a new leaf!
