Game On this Summer with the TD Summer Reading Club!

Summer is right around the corner! Clarington Public Library is inviting kids and their families to beat the Summer Slide with the annual TD Summer Reading Club, Canada’s biggest summer reading program for kids of all ages, all interests and all abilities. All activities and programs will be hosted online this year! Boost your reading skills and stay sharp for school with awesome online programs, fun videos, and activities galore!

This summer let’s get together to cheer each other on as we achieve our personal best. We can play on a team, knowing we’re better together, or play on our own to see how far we can go. We’ll learn about our world, ourselves, and each other through play and if we stumble along the way, we’ll get up laughing and keep on trying, because failing is sometimes part of the game.

Whether we’re playing in the library, online, around a table or in a field, independently or on a team, we’ll stretch our physical and mental limits and give it our best, for the love of the game.

For more information about the "summer slide" and ways you can help your children, please see the CTV News article, "Is the 'summer slide' real? Why children fall behind and how to stop it" (June 24, 2019)
