Topic: Coding
Lesson: The Importance of Facial Expressions in Communication

Students will be programming a virtual micro:bit to demonstrate human facial expressions. This activity will teach students programming skills and the importance of facial expressions in communication. We will also learn about American Sign Language (ASL) and communicating emotions through masks.

The c_wonder Library Workshops are moving to a virtual platform this fall! With a focus on the engineering design process, critical thinking, and problem solving, each workshop will present new learning and problem-solving allowing the children to explore different concepts such as environmental sustainability, robotics, circuits, design thinking, coding and so much more.

Presented in partnership with Ontario Tech University Engineering Outreach.
