Ready to Read

A child’s first teacher is its parent or caregiver. Early Literacy begins with you. The Ready to Read curriculum is designed to teach parents how to use everyday interactions and activities to introduce the early literacy key skills that get the brain Ready to Read. Simple activities like talking, singing, reading, writing and playing will prepare brain connections that will make learning to read easier.

It is never too early or too late to get Ready to Read. Join in a class at the Library, pick up a brochure, and most importantly have fun.
